The Joseph Stern Building
The magnificent 12,500 square foot Joseph Stern Building, completed in 2001, replaces beautifully the second-floor two-room office that formerly housed the Hillel JUC. The building serves as a community center for the students and a space to host free weekly Shabbat services and meals for students during the fall-spring academic year. With the opening of the Joseph Stern Building, we have experienced exponential growth in attendance at Shabbat services and meals and various programs that we provide for the community.
The Hillel JUC is now able to offer room rental to community members/groups, campus groups, and individuals. If you would like to inquire about facility rental, please check out our Facility Rental page or email Olivia for more information.
The Hillel JUC Kann Library
The Hillel JUC Kann Library is located on the first floor of the Joseph Stern Building. The books are classified according to the Elazar Classification System for Libraries of Judaica. The library has Judaica books ranging from Jewish cooking to Jewish history and much more. In addition, the library has a reference collection that includes a number of Reform, Conservative, and Orthodox sources, and the library has an easy circulation system for checking out books. This room can facilitate a meeting for up to 35 people.
