Working Group on Jewish Futurism
This is a lab-meeting style group and will meet 6 times a semester to discuss where technology, science, and Judaism intersect, drawing on halakhic literature, science fiction, philosophy, and presentations from experts who are working on these issues.
Participation is through application only to undergraduates and graduate students. It is not mandatory to attend every session although it is recommended. The group will be capped at 25 participants. Applications will be accepted on a rolling basis.
All sessions will take place at CMU CUC in the Danforth Room on Tuesdays from 5:30 pm to 6:3- pm on 9/26, 10/10, 10/17, 10/31, 11/7, and 11/28.
