Vanessa Harper is the creator behind @lechlechallah, an Instagram project that brings challah and Torah together into works of edible interpretation. She is a fifth-year rabbinic and education student at HUC-JIR in NYC, a Wexner Graduate Fellow/Davidson Scholar, and Rabbinic Intern at Congregation Rodeph Sholom in Manhattan. Vanessa graduated magna cum laude from Williams College in 2012, where she was President and Religious Director of the Williams College Jewish Association. She was recently recognized as one of the Jewish Week’s “36 Under 36” and awarded a Be Wise Fellowship for her work on @lechlechallah, and is currently working on a book to be published by the CCAR Press.
