Hillel JUC works closely with both the University of Pittsburgh and Carnegie Mellon University to ensure that kosher food is available to all students. All kosher food on campus is supervised by the Vaad Harabanim of Greater Pittsburgh and their hechsher and/or mashgiach will be present as appropriate.

In addition, all food served at Hillel JUC programs and events is kosher. Both Hillel JUC as well as the respective food service providers at CMU and Pitt are always open to exploring options and accommodating special needs whenever possible.

CMU offers kosher dining options on campus, including the Mediterranean-themed Tartan Express-Tahini food truck and a section of grab-and-go meals and grocery items at the on-campus Entropy+ Convenience Store.

Pitt also offers a kosher dining option, including offering both hot meals and cold grab-and-go meals in the Market to Go area centrally located in the food court of the Towers Dormitory next to the William Pitt Student Union.

At Duquesne University, kosher food will be available at retail locations on campus, such as grab-and-go markets in Fisher Hall and Rockwell Hall.
