Oded Wilson was born and raised in Rishon Lezion, Israel. Growing up in the Israeli Scouts, Oded gained invaluable leadership experience that helped shape his Israeli and Jewish identity. Through his time in the Scouts, he developed critical social and survival skills and cultivated a deep appreciation for Israel’s natural beauty while hiking nearly every trail in the country. This connection to the land ignited Oded’s passion for Zionism and his commitment to social change.

Oded has a natural talent for mentoring and bringing people together to build meaningful communities. With over two decades of experience, he has worked in the Jewish nonprofit sector across the United States, guiding middle and high school students, Jewish camps, university students through Hillel International, and young professionals.

Oded is passionate about creating innovative programs and initiatives that connect Jewish people to their Jewish and Israeli identity. He thrives on developing projects from the ground up and inspiring others to engage in their heritage and community.

As Oded steps into the assistant director role at Pittsburgh’s Hillel JUC, he is excited to keep building both communities at CMU and Pitt, connecting students to Judaism and Israel through immersive experiences, and creating a welcoming, empowering space for all.
